PERSONNEL SECURITY
SPECIALIST, GS-0080-9, you will: Receives, reviews, and submits requests for personnel clearances for serviced civilian, contractor, and military personnel. Checks the request for completeness and accuracy and contacts the Security Manager, Supervisor, points of contact the serviced units, and/or the individual subject of the background/clearance investigion for any questions or corrections th are required. Uses computer software such as analysis tools to research and facilite work. Maintains a file for stus of pending investigions, stus of all members, as well as periodic reinvestigions for secret and top secret clearances held. Checks with the agency performing the investigion for an upde on the stus of the security clearance in question as required. Performs duties reled to assisting suitability adjudicions/determinions for the fitness and suitability of civilian employees, contractors and/or applicants for initial and continuing employment retention. Executes established policies and procedures required for the personnel security program. Implements and executes policies and procedures in accordance with the Code of Federal Regulion (CFR) Title 5, Part 731, Department of Defense Instruction (DoDI) 1400.25, 1402.05, AR 380-67, Army Directive (AD) 2014-23 regulions and ARNG policies Perform other duties when assigned to. GENERAL EXPERIENCE
: Experience, educion or training th has provided analytical, decision making, or administrive skills which demonstres the candides ability to accomplish the work of an organizion. This experience must demonstre the ability to work cooperively and successfully with others.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
: Must have 12 months of experience in the Security career field or intelligence career field: Expert in administering server-based networked systems, distributed applicions, network storage, messaging, and applicion monitoring required to provision, sustain, opere and integre cyber networked systems and applicions in garrison and deployed locions.
Core competencies include:
expertise in server opering systems, expertise in dabase administrion, expertise in web technologies, expertise in systems-reled project management and supervising cyber systems. Have expanded experiences and expertise, along with the working knowledge on how to perform Special Security Representive duties and responsibilities in a Special Security Office. Experienced in directing, managing, and completing the day-to-day operional duties within the Special Security Office in support of all sensitive compartmented informion-associed security programs and measures. Experienced in managing research requirements and analyzing reports on physical, informion, computer, and personnel security. Experienced in managing and conducting intelligence support operions, procedures, and practices th are necessary to accomplish intelligence functions in support of programs essential to ste Nional Guard daily operions, training, and readiness missions. Experienced in directing and implementing policies and procedures required to manage sensitive compartmented informion programs and to protect sensitive compartmented informion resources. Competent and knowledgeable as a technical specialist expert on sensitive compartmented informion security mters, as well as, other areas of classified security and classificion guidance. Competent and knowledgeable on how to maintain currency on a variety of different security program inter-relionships, requirements, regulions and guidance in order to protect sensitive compartmented informion facilities and merials from espionage, sabotage, and destruction. Competent to manage, direct, and implement policies 14 and procedures for accomplishment of sensitive compartmented informion protection and security. Experienced in researching, interpreting, analyzing and applying Presidential Executive Orders, Director Central Intelligence Directives, Defense Intelligence Agency Manuals, DoD Manuals, Air Force Manuals, Air Force Instructions, and local Opering Instructions. Experienced in managing and complying with Sensitive Compartmented Informion facilities, construction and physical requirements, standards and regulions. Experiences included managing and implementing the Sensitive Compartmented Informion security clearance program and maintaining current and completed clearances for assigned personnel.
