Pet Groomer

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pet Groomer to join the team at our Key Biscayne location! The ideal candidate must have a love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional grooming services. As a Pet Groomer at The Groom Spot by Alessandra Vallejo, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of pets while delivering high-quality grooming services that meet the needs of our clients. Your expertise in pet care and grooming will play a crucial role in enhancing the overall experience for both pets and their owners. Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming & clipping nails, cleaning sanitary, cleaning ears, cleaning pads, for various breeds of dogs and cats Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin, providing recommendations for care as needed. Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized and in good working condition. Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their grooming preferences and provide excellent customer service. Handle animals safely and compassionately, using proper animal restraint techniques when necessary. Stay updated on the latest grooming/bathing techniques, trends, and products to enhance service quality. Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive experience for both pets and their owners. Great judgment and discretion when working with confidential information Experience A minimum of 1 year experience. (All breeds preferably) Knowledge of pet care practices, including animal restraint techniques and dog handling skills. Veterinary technician duties are a plus but not mandatory or required. Extraordinary experience in customer service to ensure positive interactions with pet owners. A background in animal training can be advantageous for understanding various animal behaviors.
