We are currently hiring for the following position: Part-Time./Full-Time Groomer (commission) Typical work hours will vary based on business, but shifts will likely begin no earlier than 7:00 am, and will end no later than 6:00 pm Monday-Sunday. We are seeking an experienced groomer with excellent references, a minimum of 4 years experience in a professional grooming salon. Must be gentle, efficient, and compassionate with our animal guests and possess strong client relations skills while producing quality grooms in line with breed standards or client expectations. Must be capable of grooming up to 5 animals per day, as well as up to 15 baths during busy periods, with attention to quality.

Responsibilities include:

Lifting animals in and out of grooming tubs Properly and humanely securing animals for their safety during bathing and grooming Properly applying grooming products, including but not limited to shampoos and conditioners, and reading the application instructions on labels and product information sheets Grooming, scissoring, clipping, bathing, brushing, and holding animals, including those who don't like to get wet or be brushed! Nail trims, nail painting and teeth-brushing Cleaning, scrubbing and sanitizing grooming tubs, dryers, and other grooming equipment Vacuuming and mopping floors, doing laundry, and performing other housekeeping-related duties in the grooming area Being alert and observant regarding an animals physical or medical condition, as well as an animal body language Interacting with clients professionally and articulately, obtaining information on their grooming preferences and providing them with information about their pets Other duties not specified above, as required by management

Additional requirements:

Job involves standing 90% of the time, regular bending, and extensive arm and shoulder movements above waist height; ability to lift 60 pounds safely, to waist height, is required.
