  • Join Our Team as a Kennel Technician Saturday
  • Wednesday 6:30am to 3:30pm OR Thursday
  • Sunday 6:30am to 3:30pm AND Tuesday
  • Friday 11:00am to 8:00pm The Kennel Technician is responsible for the care, safety, and comfort of all animals in the facility.
This role ensures that pets receive proper feeding, medications, cleaning, and attention while maintaining a safe and sanitary environment. The Kennel Technician also helps prepare the facility for closing and sets up animals for a comfortable overnight stay.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide compassionate care and supervision of dogs and/or cats in assigned areas. Clean, disinfect, and maintain kennels, play yards, and common areas to ensure a safe and sanitary environment. Feed, administer medications and administer water to animals according to dietary needs and feeding/medication schedules. Monitor animal behavior and health, promptly reporting any changes or concerns to management. Provide bathroom breaks, walks, and enrichment activities for animals as needed. Ensure proper closing duties, including laundry, dishes, and restocking supplies. Follow all safety procedures and company policies regarding animal handling and cleaning. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding animal care and shift updates.
Qualifications:
Prior experience working with animals preferred but not required (training provided). Must be comfortable handling dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. Ability to work in a physically demanding environment (lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, walking, bending). Strong attention to detail and ability to follow cleaning and safety protocols. Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team. Availability for afternoon/evening shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Work Environment:
Fast-paced, hands-on environment with exposure to animals of varying temperaments. Indoor and outdoor work in all weather conditions. Requires physical stamina and a passion for animal care.
