Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A critical role is available for an experienced Inpatient Pharmacist at a hospital located in a rural area of New Hampshire. This position requires a dedicated professional with a strong background in hospital pharmacy to support multiple clinical areas, including ICU, Labor & Delivery, Medical/Surgical, and Emergency Department.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide pharmaceutical care and support to inpatient units including ICU, L&D, M/S, and ED. Manage medication dispensing using Meditech and Omnicell systems (Meditech experience preferred). Work independently, especially during weekend shifts. Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective medication use. Participate in weekend coverage on a rotating schedule (every 3rd weekend).
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
2-5 years of pharmacy experience with prior hospital experience required. Previous Critical Access Hospital experience is highly preferred. Ability to work independently under minimal supervision, particularly during weekend shifts. Familiarity with Meditech and Omnicell systems is a plus. Must have a permanent address located at least 50 miles away from the facility.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 7:00/7:30 AM to 4:30/5:00 PM (40 hours per week). Rotating weekends every third weekend, Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
