Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A 13-week pharmacist opportunity is available at a large 500-bed hospital setting. This contract position offers a variable days and afternoons schedule, ideal for professionals seeking flexible hours with an ASAP start. Located near York, PA, the role involves supporting a busy inpatient pharmacy team through various critical responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct order verification to ensure accurate medication dispensing Supervise pharmacy technicians, maintaining workflow and compliance Consult with physicians regarding medication management and patient care Perform pharmacokinetics assessments to optimize drug therapy Utilize IT systems including EPIC and Pyxis for pharmacy operations
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Active Pennsylvania pharmacist license is required Approximately 2 years of inpatient pharmacy experience preferred Strong knowledge of hospital pharmacy practices and clinical skills Proficiency with EPIC and Pyxis systems advantageous Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with healthcare teams
