Job Description
Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A behavioral health facility in Byron Center, MI is seeking a licensed Michigan pharmacist to serve as Director of Pharmacy and Pharmacist in Charge. This contract position provides coverage starting ASAP through an estimated 8+ weeks as the permanent Director of Pharmacy is recruited. The role supports a facility averaging 40 patients daily, specializing in behavioral health. Responsibilities include order verification, inventory maintenance, and providing pharmacy leadership in the absence of a permanent Director of Pharmacy. Candidates should be proficient with HCS order entry systems and Omnicell automation, or possess relevant experience with similar platforms. This position requires working Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on-site, with remote coverage on Saturdays from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. The facility operates without pharmacy technician support, so strong independent work skills are essential.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Active Michigan pharmacist license in good standing Experience in behavioral health pharmacy preferred Familiarity with HCS order entry system Knowledge of Omnicell site automation is a plus Ability to manage pharmacy services independentlyLocation:
