Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Contract A healthcare facility in the Los Angeles area is seeking a skilled Clinical Pharmacist to provide day shift coverage on a flexible, contract basis. This role is ideal for a pharmacist who is adaptable and comfortable managing variable hours ranging from approximately 16 to 40 hours per week, depending on scheduling needs.

Location:

Norwalk, CA (with some potential float duties to nearby sister hospitals within 10-15 miles)

Position Type:

Contract (initial booking for 8 weeks, with month-to-month potential)

Variable day and afternoon shifts Schedule flexibility essential

Key Responsibilities:

Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently Provide oversight and guidance to pharmacy technicians Collaborate and consult with nursing staff and physicians regarding pharmacotherapy and patient care Manage pharmacokinetics evaluations and adjustments Utilize order entry systems (Paragon/Allscripts) for medication management Operate and oversee Pyxis automated dispensing cabinets within the pharmacy Qualifications /

Desired Experience:

Licensed pharmacist in good standing Experience working in acute care or hospital pharmacy settings Familiarity with Paragon and Allscripts order entry systems Proficiency with Pyxis automated dispensing technology Ability to work independently and maintain strong attention to detail Strong communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration Flexibility to float between hospital sites as needed
