Part-Time Contract Opportunity Location:
Alexandria, Louisiana Facility:
Opioid Treatment Center A specialized opportunity is available for a dedicated Pharmacist in Charge to oversee pharmacy operations in a part-time capacity at an opioid treatment center. This contract position is structured for 20 hours per week, with a schedule of Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 5:00 AM to 10:00 AM. The initial engagement is a one-year contract with potential for extension or conversion to direct hire.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the Pharmacist in Charge, managing day-to-day pharmacy functions and ensuring operational excellence. Perform thorough chart reviews and maintain precise documentation. Verify prescriptions for accuracy and compliance. Assist with filling prescriptions in the absence of a pharmacy technician. Complete internal reports and forms using Microsoft Excel. Ensure all pharmacy activities comply with state and federal regulations. Operate independently when technician support is unavailable, with limited patient interaction unless required.
Note:
This role involves no billing or insurance processing duties.
Qualifications:
Hold an active Louisiana Pharmacist license in good standing with no negative history. Possess 3 to 5 years of pharmacy experience. Experience in substance abuse or opioid treatment is preferred but not mandatory. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and capable of working independently.
