Category Pharmacy-Pharmacist in Charge Job Type Contract Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) - Part-Time Contract Opportunity This role offers a unique chance to serve as the Pharmacist in Charge at an Opioid Treatment Center, overseeing pharmacy operations and ensuring regulatory compliance in Alexandria, Louisiana. The position is part-time, with a consistent schedule of Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 5:00 AM to 10:00 AM (20 hours per week). The contract is for 1 year, with potential for extension or transition to direct hire.
Responsibilities:
Serve as Pharmacist in Charge, managing pharmacy operations and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations Verify and fill prescriptions when a technician is unavailable Perform chart reviews and maintain accurate documentation Complete internal reports and forms utilizing Microsoft Excel Work independently, stepping in to support operations without technician assistance Minimal patient interaction unless requested No billing or insurance processing required
Qualifications:
Active Louisiana Pharmacist license in good standing without any negative history 3-5 years of pharmacy experience Substance abuse or opioid treatment experience is preferred but not mandatory Proficient in Microsoft Excel Strong ability to work independently and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision
