Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract An opportunity is available for a Pharmacist to contribute to patient care at a 120-bed community hospital in Kerrville, TX. This contract position offers the chance to work weekdays with well-defined shifts in a supportive hospital environment equipped with Meditech, MedKeeper for IVs, and Omnicell systems.
Location:
Kerrville, TX (Contract assignment with possible flexible travel around Ingram area)
Schedule:
Monday to Friday day shifts starting at 7 AM, 8 AM, or 9 AM Coverage every 4th weekend Potential shift to second shift (1145 AM - 10 PM, 10-hour shifts) later on Flexibility in scheduling highly valued
Responsibilities:
Dispense and verify medications accurately within hospital protocols Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient medication therapies Utilize hospital IT systems such as Meditech, MedKeeper, and Omnicell for medication management Ensure compliance with pharmacy policies and regulatory requirements Provide patient counseling and support when necessary
Qualifications:
Active Texas Pharmacist license Prior hospital pharmacy experience preferred Familiarity with Meditech or similar hospital IT systems is a plus Strong communication and teamwork skills Adaptability to variable shift schedules and weekend coverage This 13-week+ contract role is ideal for pharmacists seeking to leverage hospital experience within a community setting, with an option to transition shifts based on operational needs.
