Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist - Retail Job Type Contract Deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical care in a hospital setting, ensuring safe and effective medication use to enhance patient outcomes. This role requires a valid Ohio Pharmacy License and hospital pharmacy experience, offering a Monday to Friday schedule with weekend rotation.

Contract position based in
Lancaster, OH Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM Every 6th weekend coverage with subsequent days off during the week
Key Responsibilities:
Review, interpret, validate, and dispense medication orders accurately Monitor and manage patient medication therapy for therapeutic appropriateness and effectiveness Maintain departmental policies, procedures, and quality improvement programs per regulatory standards Provide drug information to patients, families, and healthcare providers Respond to medical emergencies with timely drug therapy management Supervise pharmacy technician activities to meet patient and departmental needs Uphold organizational mission and service values including empathy, integrity, stewardship, agility, and teamwork
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor of Science or PharmD degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy Valid Ohio Pharmacy License in good standing At least one year of hospital pharmacy experience preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills across multidisciplinary teams Commitment to ongoing professional development and quality improvement
Physical and Cognitive Demands:
Ability to exert 10-50 pounds of force occasionally; some standing and walking required Analytical thinking, problem-solving, time management, and effective communication essential This contract opportunity begins June 1st and suits pharmacists who are ready to deliver patient-centered care in a dynamic hospital environment.
