Pharmacy Cashier/Pharmacy Technician Trainee

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service while efficiently handling transactions. This position requires a strong understanding of pharmacy operations, including medication administration and medical terminology. The Cashier will ensure that all customer interactions are positive and that all transactions are processed accurately. Responsibilities Process customer transactions quickly and accurately using the point-of-sale system. Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their inquiries and needs. Maintain knowledge of pharmacy products and services to effectively communicate with customers. Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while ensuring compliance with company policies. Assist in managing inventory levels by restocking shelves as needed. Work collaboratively with pharmacy technicians and other staff to ensure smooth operations. Uphold cleanliness and organization in the cashier area to promote a welcoming environment for customers. Qualifications Previous experience in a cashier or customer service role is preferred. Familiarity with pharmacy operations, including medication administration, IV infusion, and acute care is highly desirable. Knowledge of medical terminology and aseptic technique is a plus. Strong communication skills with the ability to provide patient care and service effectively. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
