Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Contract This opportunity is for a Pharmacy Technician specializing in hospital inpatient care, supporting medication management and sterile product preparation in a hospital setting. The role focuses on ensuring accuracy and safety in medication handling and inventory within the pharmacy department.
Location:
Richland Center, WI Schedule:
Monday through
Friday:
7 AM to 7
PM Weekends:
7 AM to 3 PM (every 4th weekend rotation) Weekday shifts alternate between 8 and 10 hours
Assignment Duration:
13 weeks, with an ASAP start
Key Responsibilities:
Restock Pyxis machines and maintain medication inventory levels Conduct outdate checks and restock medications, IVs, and supplies Enter charges accurately and assist with ordering and receiving drug shipments Monitor storage temperatures to ensure compliance with safety standards Prepare sterile products, including chemotherapy, and perform daily cleanroom cleaning Perform additional duties as assigned to support the pharmacy team
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Wisconsin Pharmacy Technician license or the ability to obtain one promptly Approximately 2 years of recent inpatient hospital pharmacy experience Strong attention to detail and familiarity with sterile product preparation Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends on a rotational basis This contract position offers the chance to contribute to high-quality inpatient pharmaceutical care in a dynamic hospital environment.
