Job Description
•This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus up to $2,500 Serving the needs of Garfield Heights and the Southeast communities of Cuyahoga County, Marymount Hospital is an acute care, faith-based hospital. The Pharmacy Technician - Community supports outpatient pharmacy operations at Marymount Hospital's Medical Office Building pharmacy. This role includes data entry, prescription filling, and rotating cashier responsibilities while working in a collaborative team environment focused on delivering excellent patient service and achieving shared operational goals. A caregiver in this position works 40 hours per week on rotating shifts between 8:00am and 4:00pm or 10:00am and 6:00pm. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Provide distributive pharmacy services, assistance and support for the pharmacist in an ambulatory/outpatient setting. Prepare prescription orders for dispensing to patients. Maintain inventory for the outpatient pharmacy. Assist with extemporaneous compounding of prescriptions and bulk compounding of prescriptions and over the counter items. Operate the point-of-sale cash register system. Monitor and act on reorder points, restock prescription and non-prescription area and remove expiring products. Provide multi-pharmacy support in assigned areas as needed. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: High School Diploma/GED Must meet all of the following license and certification combination requirements at the time of application: Must hold an active registration as a Registered Pharmacy Technician through the Ohio Board of Pharmacy (OBOP).

However, please visit the apprenticeship program to express interest: https://talentcommunity.clevelandclinic.org/campaign/apprentiship-programs/ ) It is required, within 18 months from the date of hire: Must obtain a national certification as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Healthcare Association (NHA) AND Registration as a Certified Pharmacy Technician with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Six months of hospital experience Completion of a formal pharmacy technician training program Prior outpatient experiencePhysical Requirements:
Typical physical demands include ability to perform the job while standing, reaching, stretching, stooping, and sitting for prolonged times; manual dexterity sufficient to perform computer, dispensing functions of the job; ability to lift up to 20 lbs. while walking, stooping, bending and reaching.Personal Protective Equipment:
Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.Pay Range Minimum hourly:
$21.50 Maximum hourly: $31.00 The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires.
