Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Direct Hire An established infusion pharmacy is seeking an experienced IV/Infusion Pharmacy Technician to join their team in Duluth, GA. This direct hire position offers a rewarding opportunity to specialize in sterile compounding and play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Saturdays as needed
Key Responsibilities:
Perform sterile compounding of medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, adhering strictly to USP 797 standards. Maintain quality assurance by ensuring all compounding activities meet departmental and legal requirements. Complete sterile compounding practical certification every six months to stay compliant with USP 797. Clean and maintain sterile compounding rooms and primary engineering controls daily according to established guidelines. Assist in training new pharmacy technician staff members. Participate in clinical initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care. Execute other sterile compounding and pharmacy technician duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid Georgia Pharmacy Technician license required. National Pharmacy Technician Certification highly preferred. Demonstrated experience in sterile IV and infusion compounding. Familiarity with CareTend pharmacy management system is a plus. This role requires a detail-oriented professional committed to maintaining the highest standards of sterility and patient safety.
