The Pharmacy Technician - Inpatient, PRN works within a collaborative inpatient pharmacy team consisting of approximately 13 technicians and 8 pharmacists, supporting a variety of hospital caregivers and patient care areas. This role offers broad exposure to inpatient pharmacy operations through rotating responsibilities across multiple workflows. First shift responsibilities may include Pyxis refills, inventory management, virtual carousel operations, receiving medication orders, IV room support, non-sterile compounding, and other core pharmacy functions. Second shift responsibilities focus more heavily on medication deliveries to patient floors, cycle counts, Pyxis refills, and IV preparation as needed. The workload is manageable, and technicians are cross-trained to support multiple operational areas. This is a PRN role. A caregiver in this position will work a variety of days and hours as needed. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Provide distributive pharmacy services, assistance and support for the Registered Pharmacist. Refill and maintain automated dispensing systems. Fill medications carts daily. Prepare orders and maintain inventory for the pharmacy department. Repackage bulk medications. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: High School Diploma or GED. Must meet all of the following license and certification combination requirements at the time of application: Must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) OR the National HealthCareer Association (NHA) AND it is required to hold an active registration through the Ohio Board of Pharmacy (OBOP) as either a Certified Pharmacy Technician, Registered Pharmacy Technician, or Pharmacy Technician Trainee. If certified but current status with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy (OBOP) is Registered Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Trainee it is required to update registration status to a Certified Pharmacy Technician with the OBOP within six months of hire.

Pay Range Minimum hourly:
$23.00 Maximum hourly: $23.00 The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.).
