Join our team as a relief Pharmacy Technician at Rosewood Family Health Center in Portland, OR!Be part of a healthcare organization that believes in making a difference beyond medical care!

We offer a wide range of services such as medical, dental, pharmacy, orthodontia, nutritional counseling, autism screening, and behavioral health.
Our holistic model also extends assistance to shelter, energy, weatherization, HIV and AIDS counseling, home visits, and mobile medical/dental clinics.

Enter the prescription in the system, selecting the brand, product/drug, and appropriate strength to align with the instructions given by the prescribing ProviderFill or dispense the product from the pharmacy stock and deliver to the patientProcess prescription refills, verifying refill availabilityMaintain awareness of stock level and enter orders for restocking based on defined minimum inventory levels.
Verify quantity and submit order to the WholesalerVerify product orders received with the invoice and purchase order.
Place a sticker on each item and place it on the shelfMonitor and check expiration dates on drugs in stock and prepare expired stock for return to the Wholesaler.
Process credit invoices associated with the returnsReturn or discard dispensed prescriptions to stock if not picked up by the patient in 30 days.
Enter information in the system for reverse billingComplete the third-party billing form and contact the Provider if prior authorization is requiredPerform other duties as assignedPerform clinical responsibilities in alignment with The Joint Commission (TJC), Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), and YVFWC requirements

What You'll Do:
Enter patient data in the system, including patient name, insurance, allergies, doctor, and diagnosis.Enter the prescription in the system, selecting the brand, product/drug, and appropriate strength to align with the instructions given by the prescribing ProviderFill or dispense the product from the pharmacy stock and deliver to the patientProcess prescription refills, verifying refill availabilityMaintain awareness of stock level and enter orders for restocking based on defined minimum inventory levels.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)One year's experience in a pharmacy setting is preferredPharmacy Technician license for Washington State or Pharmacy Intern LicenseBilingual English/ Spanish preferred at a level 9Effective verbal and listening communication skills with a customer-oriented approachKnowledge of medical terminologyAbility to perform administrative tasks such as answering phones, filing, faxing, scanning, and copyingAbility to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environmentAbility to organize work while performing multiple tasks requiring attention to detailBasic proficiency with a variety of computer systems, including Microsoft Office, is preferredBasic knowledge of a minimum of one pharmacy software system and the ability to learn new systemsThis job will require a pre-employment drug screen, which would take place after extending a conditional offer of employmentOur Mission Statement"Together we transform our communities through compassionate, individualized care, eliminating barriers to health and well-being."Our mission celebrates inclusivity.We are committed to equal-opportunity employment.
