MUST HAVES

• 1 or more years of phlebotomy experience (preferably 2+)
• Experience using straight needles
• Data entry to enter patient information into system Strong customer service skills are required.

Seeking an individual who is detail oriented and good with computer.

Job duties:

• Entry when the patient comes in
• Drawing blood, 20-40 draws per day
• Data entry and processing of samples, labeling specimens
• Centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination
• Updating patient information
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures
• Demonstrate technique/s using straight needles and/or butterfly needles
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order Phlebotomists will be working in a patient services center and will have around 30-50 patients per day.

When interacting with patients, the Phleb must document and update records through their internal system. Through training, the Phlebotomists will also take on additional tasks such as accessioning.

This individual can be a Phleb Tech or an MA. No certifications are required.
