• 6:00 PM Vaccinations required: Hepatitis B, TB, MMR, T-DAP, Flu, VaricellaPosition SummaryThe Phlebotomist I will perform blood draws, specimen collection, and processing in a high-volume PSC setting.

This role also includes troubleshooting, workflow support, and ensuring compliance with all safety and quality standards.

Background & ContextFMLA coverage roleHigh-volume Patient Service Center (PSC)Required to float between multiple nearby locations Key ResponsibilitiesPerform venipuncture using straight and butterfly needlesCollect, label, centrifuge, process, and store specimens accuratelyMatch laboratory requisitions with specimen tubes ensuring 100% accuracyFollow all specimen handling, storage, and transport protocolsClearly explain collection procedures to patients (blood, urine, fecal, etc.)Maintain and update patient recordsPackage specimens for transport while maintaining integrity standardsComply with OSHA and DEP regulationsSupport lab operations including answering calls and relaying resultsParticipate in training and provide workflow improvement suggestions Qualifications & ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GEDMinimum 6 months of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab/hospital setting2-4 years of overall experience preferredAt least 2 years of blood draw experience requiredValid Phlebotomy Certification (if required by state)Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Working ConditionsHigh-volume PSC environment (30-50 draws/day)Standing for extended periods throughout the dayFloat required to Oak Park, Greenfield, and Farmington Hills1 week system training followed by hands-on trainingColor vision screening required

40 hours/weekReliable transportation required for float
