Immediately Job Description This position is for head boys basketball coach at Pittsburg High School. The duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Administer all facets of an interscholastic boys basketball program.
  • Oversee and mentor assistant coaches.
  • Assist AD with creation of a competitive schedule each season.
  • Recruit, train, retain student-athletes for the boys basketball program.
  • Monitor academics and attendance on a regular basis.
  • Create and maintain adequate and up to date inventory list of equipment and gear and turn into AD at beginning and end of each season.
  • Attend and supervise athletes and coaches at all practices, team events, and competitions.
  • Adhere to all
PHS, USD 250, SEK
League, KSHSAA, and NFHS policies and rules.
  • Maintain current CPR/1st Aid/AED certifications.
  • Organize and coordinate summer youth and team camp.
  • Other duties as assigned.
