Physical Therapist

Physical Therapist 24 hours per week Salary range: $40-50 per hour Eligible for benefits We are seeking a Physical Therapist to join the Center for Mobility and Rehabilitation Engineering (CMRE). This position is ideal for a clinician interested in rehabilitation robotics, neuromodulation and rehabilitation technology. The Physical Therapist will be part of an interdisciplinary team advancing innovative interventions to improve mobility and function in individuals with neurological conditions. Key Responsibilities Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following: Deliver gait-training interventions using robotic exoskeletons and advanced rehabilitation technologies. Implement and support transcutaneous spinal cord stimulation (tSCS) protocols in combination with functional mobility training. Perform clinical assessments and outcome measures related to walking function (e.g., gait speed, endurance, balance) in accordance with research protocols. Evaluate and screen research participants for study eligibility and intervention readiness. Ensure consistency and standardization of clinical testing across study clinicians. Work with a range of assistive and rehabilitation technologies, including lower-extremity exoskeletons, body-weight support systems, and instrumented gait-assessment tools. Participate in participant recruitment, including protocol explanation, informed consent, and screening (medical record review and in-person). Qualifications Current licensure (or eligibility) as a Physical Therapist in the State of New Jersey. Minimum of one year of experience working with individuals with neurological conditions (e.g., SCI, stroke, MS, TBI). Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in clinical and research documentation. Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team of clinicians, engineers, and scientists. Excellent communication skills for interacting with research participants and team members.
