Physical Therapist

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-time Physical Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to provide high-quality care to patients in various settings, including inpatient facilities, clinics, and home health environments. Your primary focus will be on assisting patients in their rehabilitation journey, ensuring they achieve their therapy goals effectively and safely. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care, including administering therapeutic exercises and modalities as prescribed. Monitor and document patient progress, reporting any changes or concerns to the supervising therapist. Participate in discharge planning by preparing patients for a safe transition from therapy to home or other care settings. Educate patients and their families on exercises, techniques, and home care strategies to support recovery. Maintain a clean and organized treatment area, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and in good working condition. Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes through effective communication and teamwork. Utilize knowledge of medical terminology and physiology to enhance patient care practices. Qualifications Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Strong understanding of physical therapy principles, including orthopedics and discharge planning processes. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Ability to demonstrate compassion and empathy while providing patient-centered care. Knowledge of home health practices is beneficial but not required.
