Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Physical Therapist Assistant, where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality rehabilitative care to diverse patient populations. Duties Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and executing personalized care plans for patients of all ages, including pediatrics and geriatrics. Implement therapeutic interventions such as trigger point therapy, manual therapy techniques, and exercises to improve strength, flexibility, and function. Monitor patient progress and document responses to treatments accurately to inform ongoing care adjustments. Support discharge planning by preparing patients for transition to home or other care facilities through education and tailored exercise programs. Provide hands-on patient care during sessions in inpatient units, outpatient clinics, or home health visits, ensuring safety and comfort at all times. Educate patients and families on physiotherapy techniques, injury prevention strategies, and post-treatment care routines. Maintain detailed records of treatments administered, patient responses, and progress notes in compliance with healthcare regulations. Skills Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology essential for effective patient assessment and treatment implementation. Proficiency in physiotherapy techniques including trigger point therapy and other manual therapy methods. Experience working in inpatient settings such as skilled nursing facilities or acute care units; outpatient clinic experience is highly valued. Familiarity with discharge planning processes to facilitate seamless patient transitions from hospital to home or other facilities. Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams focused on comprehensive patient care. Knowledge of specialized areas such as orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and home health environments enhances your versatility.
