Job Description

Category Schools - PTA Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference in the educational setting as a Physical Therapist Assistant, supporting students' growth and development. In this contract position, you'll work alongside an onsite Physical Therapist, serving a diverse population across multiple school sites within an educational service district. The position is based near Pilot Rock, OR, and requires weekly travel of up to 150 miles to ensure all students receive high-quality therapeutic support.
Key Qualifications:
Current licensure or eligibility as a Physical Therapist Assistant Experience in a school-based setting or with pediatric clients preferred Willingness to travel within the educational service district Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to collaborate effectively with an onsite PT, teachers, and school staff Recent graduates are welcome to apply; however, candidates with at least one year of experience are strongly preferred
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide physical therapy services to students as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist Assist in the assessment and documentation of student progress, adapting intervention plans as needed Support implementation of individualized education programs (IEPs) Travel weekly to various sites within the district to serve assigned caseload Foster positive, professional relationships with students, families, and school teams Promote student independence and participation in school activities
