Speech Therapy Assistant in Pilot Rock, OR

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a meaningful contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant supporting K-12 students for the upcoming school year. This role begins the last week of August and continues through the first or second week of June, offering you the chance to make a lasting impact across potentially multiple schools in the area. You'll work a consistent 40-hour week over the course of 185 days, engaging with a diverse population and a caseload of approximately 60 students. Your daily schedule will align with school start and end times, allowing for a predictable routine while still presenting new challenges and rewards each day.

Key Qualifications & Skills:

Valid SLPA license in Oregon or eligibility to obtain Experience or strong interest in working with diverse student populations, K-12 Ability to build rapport with students, staff, and families Excellent organizational and time-management skills Familiarity with school-based therapy approaches and documentation Flexibility to travel between multiple schools as needed Commitment to collaboration within an educational team

Responsibilities:

Carry out therapy and intervention plans designed by supervising SLPs Provide individualized and group therapy to students as assigned Accurately document sessions and track student progress Collaborate with educators and families to support students' communication goals Participate in meetings and professional development opportunities Adapt services and activities to meet each student's unique needs You'll enjoy work-life balance through a school-based calendar, professional growth opportunities, and the ability to truly shape students' futures throughout the academic year.
