Job Description

Rivers Edge Physical Therapy has a long standing history in Western NC, primarily the Burke County area, of providing high quality MFR/ Manual therapy. We take great pride in the confidence the medical community has in our ability to provide patients with the absolute best in Manual/MFR treatment. We are a Manual therapy clinic with an MFR specialty and take every precaution to ensure our reputation stands strong. Any PT's and PTA's will abide by this standard of care. Strong Manual Therapy skills preferred. Physical Therapist Job Duties Accesses patient needs by obtaining history & examining functional status of musculoskeletal & neuromuscular systems. Updates plans of care as determined by patient's progress or insurance requirements. Utilizes Manual therapy and MFR "best practices" in providing rehabilitative services. Meets the patient's goals and needs and provides quality care by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results; determining physical therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians or by prescription. Helps patient accomplish treatment plan by administering exercise programs; instructing, encouraging, and assisting patients in performing physical activities, ambulatory functional activities, and daily-living activities Administers physical therapy treatments by applying Manual Therapy techniques; instructing in Home exercise programs; directing treatments given by assistants. Assists staff Physical Therapy Assistants with patient care Evaluates effects of physical therapy by observing, noting, and evaluating patient's progress; recommending adjustments and modifications. Completes discharge planning by consulting with physician when applicable. Assures continuation of therapeutic plan following discharge by designing home exercise programs; instructing patients, families, and caregivers in home exercise programs. Documents patient care services by charting in patient records, WebPT Documents patient attendance and billable units, AMD Maintains patient confidence and protects clinic operations by keeping information confidential Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. Maintains continuing education for documentation of patient charts,
IE:
WebPT and AMD best practices Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements.
