Job Description

Per Diem Physical Therapist needed for skilled nursing. Flexible schedule, supportive rehab team, and collaborative work environment. Must have nursing home experience.
Hourly Rate:

Position Overview:
As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for evaluating and treating residents to help them achieve long-term health benefits and improve their overall mobility and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate residents' conditions and develop individualized physical rehabilitation plans. Help residents improve mobility and functional independence. Relieve pain using exercises, hands-on therapy, stretching, and physical therapy devices. Assist residents in using physical therapy equipment effectively. Guide residents through therapy tasks, monitoring their performance and progress. Inform residents about what they should expect at different stages of their recovery. Supervise physical therapy assistants when required. Maintain a safe and clean working environment . Adhere to infection-control policies and protocols. Contribute to interdisciplinary team efforts to ensure comprehensive resident care.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program. Current New York State PT License. Experience in skilled nursing/long-term care settings preferred.
