Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a school-based physical therapist supporting students in a vibrant educational community near Smyrna, GA. This assignment begins May 23, 2026, and continues through June 30, 2026, offering you the chance to make an immediate, positive difference as the academic year winds down. Enjoy the dynamic variety of working with a range of ages and presentations across multiple (to be assigned) campuses, utilizing your expertise to help students achieve their physical and educational goals.
Preferred qualifications:
Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in Georgia (or eligibility to obtain) Experience providing physical therapy in a school or pediatric clinical setting Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams Knowledge of IEP processes and documentation standards Excellent communication, organization, and time management abilities Adaptability and enthusiasm for working in diverse school environments Key responsibilities: Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students with diverse physical needs Deliver daily or scheduled PT services in alignment with students' IEP goals Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and school staff to maximize therapy effectiveness Document progress, maintain compliance with school and state regulations, and prepare necessary reports Support safe mobility and accessibility throughout school settings Participate in IEP meetings and professional team discussions as needed This is a contract opportunity, ideal for therapists seeking experience in an educational setting and desiring a short-term assignment during the late spring and early summer months.
