Job Description

Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A contract opportunity is available for a skilled physical therapist or physical therapist assistant to provide one-on-one care to a middle school student with a traumatic brain injury. This position involves delivering specialized rehabilitation support tailored to the unique needs of the student to enhance their mobility and daily functioning.
Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 physical therapy sessions, focusing on rehabilitation from traumatic brain injury Work closely with the student to develop and implement individualized treatment plans Communicate progress and collaborate with educational and healthcare teams Maintain accurate documentation of therapeutic interventions and outcomes Support the student's participation in school activities and promote independence
Qualifications:
Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) with experience working in school settings Experience with pediatric patients, particularly those with neurological impairments or traumatic brain injuries Strong interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, families, and school staff Ability to work 1-2 hours per month in the San Pablo, CA area Commitment to student-centered care and flexible scheduling
