Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Make a difference in the lives of students by contributing your expertise as a Physical Therapist in a supportive school environment. This contract opportunity offers up to 35 hours per week, but if you are interested in working part-time, flexible options are available to accommodate your schedule. You'll work closely with an engaged team dedicated to creating inclusive learning experiences and promoting student well-being.
Key Qualifications:
Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Prior experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred Proven ability to assess, develop, and implement therapy plans for students Strong collaboration and communication skills Familiarity with IEP documentation and participation in multidisciplinary meetings Compassionate, student-centered approach Adaptability to meet the needs of diverse learners and school environments Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 30 contacts per week (full-time)
Essential Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough assessments of students' motor abilities and physical needs Develop and execute individualized intervention plans Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to support student goals Offer consultation and training to staff on adaptive equipment and strategies Maintain timely, accurate records of services performed and progress made Contribute to IEP development and attend team meetings as required Foster a positive, encouraging atmosphere for students' physical growth and independence
