Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding summer opportunity providing physical therapy services in a supportive educational setting! This contract position is ideal for passionate physical therapists who enjoy making a difference in the lives of students during an Extended School Year (ESY) program. The role offers a flexible, part-time schedule—perfect for work-life balance—and is located within reach of Pittston, PA. As part of the ESY team, you'll work Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8:45am to 12:15pm daily, helping students maintain and expand their physical abilities during summer learning. Your summer adventure begins with an orientation on Monday, June 29th and continues through August 6th, ensuring a focused and manageable commitment.
Qualifications:
Valid PA SLP Educator License required Proven experience or strong interest in pediatric and school-based physical therapy Ability to develop and implement customized therapy plans Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and school staff Adaptability to meet the unique needs of each student in a dynamic school environment
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized and group PT services to students in accordance with IEP goals Evaluate and document student progress, collaborating closely with educators and families Develop engaging activities that support motor skills and overall student mobility Foster a positive, inclusive environment to encourage student participation Communicate progress and recommendations effectively to the ESY team and families The position offers a competitive hourly compensation in the range of $38-$45, reflecting your experience and expertise.
