Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students from kindergarten through high school as an onsite physical therapist for the upcoming school year. This itinerant position involves working across multiple school locations, providing specialized support to help students reach their full potential. You will play an essential role in fostering students' developmental abilities and ensuring their access to a positive, supportive learning environment.
Key Qualifications:
Current and active Physical Therapy license in South Carolina Previous experience in a school-based setting or with pediatric populations preferred Strong collaboration and communication skills to work with students, staff, and families Ability to travel between multiple school sites during the workweek Organizational skills and adaptability in dynamic educational settings
Position Responsibilities:
Evaluate students' physical therapy needs through screenings and assessments Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each student's goals Document and track student progress, maintaining accurate and timely records Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to support student learning and access to the curriculum Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute expertise for student plans Provide direct therapy services and staff consultations in accordance with each student's needs and IEP requirements This role offers the chance to impact students' educational journeys in a variety of school environments. The contract term runs from late July to late May, comfortably aligning with the academic calendar.
