Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to provide high-quality patient care in outpatient clinics, Your primary focus will be to assist patients in their rehabilitation journey, ensuring they achieve their therapeutic goals through effective treatment plans. Responsibilities Assist physical therapists in implementing individualized care plans for patients. Conduct patient assessments and document progress towards rehabilitation goals. Provide hands-on treatment techniques, including trigger point therapy and therapeutic exercises. Support discharge planning by preparing patients for a smooth transition from therapy to home or other care settings. Educate patients and their families about treatment protocols and home exercise programs. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards. Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes across various settings such as pediatrics, orthopedics, and outpatient care. Ensure a safe and clean working environment while adhering to all safety protocols. Skills Strong knowledge of physical therapy principles and practices, particularly in outpatient and skilled nursing facility settings. Proficiency in developing care plans tailored to individual patient needs. Experience with discharge planning processes to facilitate effective transitions for patients. Ability to perform trigger point therapy and other manual therapy techniques effectively. Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Compassionate approach to patient care with a focus on improving quality of life. Familiarity with pediatric physical therapy practices is a plus but not required.
