Equipped with specialized technologies, including Balance Master, VitalStim, and Anodyne, the Rehab Services Department works closely with physicians to provide acute and outpatient physical, occupational, and speech therapy services to restore the functional abilities of patients. Emphasis is placed on collaboration and teamwork, and new therapists are encouraged to grow their skills through professional development and mentorship. The department routinely finishes within the 90 th percentile or better in the nation for patient satisfaction.A typical day includes:
Assisting therapists to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient therapy treatments utilizing appropriate procedures, equipment, and supplies to achieve intended outcomes. Follows plans of care provided by therapists and monitors and reports progress Communicates with patients and caregivers to provide clear directions on the use of rehabilitative devices and equipment Documents patient care services with relevant and timely information Prepares and maintains work spaces and equipmentJob Requirements:
Education:
Completion of a Physical Therapy Assistant program with an Associate's Degree from an accredited institutionExperience:
New graduates welcome; 1 year of experience preferredSkills:
Patient care, problem-solving, customer service, and listening skillsLicensure/Certification:
Current Missouri Physical Therapy Assistant Certificate Physical:
Prolonged periods of standing and walking, ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. with patient and/or equipment assistance, ability to carry up to 35 lbs.This position is:
