Join a contract travel opportunity in Arlington, MA as a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant. This 14-week assignment begins ASAP with a full-time schedule (Sun-Sat, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM).
Compensation:
Travel rate $1,720/40 hrs; Local rate $1,696/40 hrs.
Requirements:
Current, active PTA state license
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Physical Therapist in patient evaluations by collecting medical history, assisting with assessments, and helping establish treatment goals. Implement prescribed interventions and therapeutic exercises to improve mobility, strength, and flexibility. Operate therapeutic modalities and equipment safely and effectively as part of patient rehabilitation. Teach and supervise patients in exercise programs and techniques to promote recovery and functional independence. Provide education to patients and families on home exercise programs and self-care strategies. Accurately document treatments, progress, and patient responses in clinical records. Coordinate care and communicate treatment plans with the PT and interdisciplinary team. Follow safety, infection control, and facility policies to maintain a safe therapeutic environment. Offer emotional support and encouragement to patients throughout their treatment. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
