Physical Therapy Assistant - Part Time

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Part Time Physical Therapy Assistant to join our healthcare team at our North Royalton location. Duties Assist licensed physical therapists in implementing individualized care plans for patients across multiple settings such as outpatient clinics, inpatient units, and home health. Support patient care activities including exercises, manual therapy techniques like trigger point therapy, and mobility assistance. Monitor patient progress and document responses to treatment interventions accurately. Help with discharge planning by providing education and guidance to patients and their families. Maintain a clean and safe environment adhering to healthcare standards and protocols. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care, especially in specialized areas such as orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and sports medicine. Utilize knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and care plans to support effective treatment delivery. Experience Prior experience working in outpatient clinics, inpatient facilities, skilled nursing facilities, or home health is highly desirable. Experience with physiotherapy techniques including trigger point therapy preferred. Background in caring for diverse populations such as geriatrics and pediatrics is advantageous. Familiarity with discharge planning processes and acute care procedures is a plus. Proven ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams in various healthcare environments. Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and physiotherapy practices necessary for delivering competent patient care.
