Covington Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Job Summary:
Join our dynamic team at Covington Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation, where we're dedicated to providing individualized, compassionate, and innovative healthcare services that inspire each guest to achieve their full potential. As a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), you'll play a vital role in our rehab-recovery suites, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to help patients regain strength, mobility, and independence.
Responsibilities:
Assist physical therapists in the implementation of patient treatment plans, including exercises, modalities, and other interventions Conduct initial and progress assessments, documenting findings and recommendations Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist Provide education and training to patients, families, and caregivers on exercise techniques, home programs, and wellness strategies Collaborate with other rehabilitation professionals, including occupational and speech therapists, to ensure comprehensive care Maintain accurate and timely records, reports, and statistics
Requirements:
Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assistant Studies or related field Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program Minimum of 0 years of experience (PTAs with all levels of experience encouraged to apply) Current PTA certification in the state of Ohio Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition patients, as well as perform tasks that require bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods
