Key Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program Valid state PTA license (or eligibility) Prior experience working with pediatric populations or within school environments strongly preferred Knowledge of individualized education programs (IEPs) and relevant school-based therapy practices Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, faculty, and families Ability to adapt to fast-paced and changing school settings

Role Responsibilities:

Deliver physical therapy interventions as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist to help students achieve educational and functional goals Support assessments, implement treatment plans, and document student progress appropriately Assist with developing adaptive techniques and strategies for classroom and school access Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions Educate students, staff, and families on mobility, safety, and equipment use Maintain accurate records and support compliance with state and federal guidelines
