Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in students' lives working in a supportive school environment for the 2026-2027 academic year as a Special Education Teacher. This contract position offers the opportunity to work closely with students who benefit from specialized instruction, collaborating with school staff and families to support individual learning needs. You'll work 37.5 hours per week during the school year, with caseload details to be determined, all within a welcoming school community. This role requires strong communication skills, adaptability, and a passion for exceptional student support.
Key Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university Current and valid South Carolina Department of Education (SCDE) teaching license in a recognized special education area (such as Learning Disabilities, Multi-categorical, or Emotional Disabilities) Ability to work effectively with students with diverse learning needs Strong teamwork skills for collaboration with educational staff and families Excellent organizational abilities and commitment to individualized instruction
Primary Responsibilities:
