Family Practice and Internal Medicine of New Haven County an adult primary care practice in East Haven, CT. We are a collaborative team of highly skilled, passionate, and dedicated professionals. We provide quality patient care in a comfortable, personalized environment. FPIM strives to ensure all providers have a work-life balance, attractive benefits, and a supportive environment. Seeking an initiative-taking PA-C to join the practice. We are seeking an applicant who strives to develop their patient base. The candidate should be comfortable performing patient screenings, histories, and physical examinations, interpreting test results, and determining patient follow-ups. The candidate will be responsible for both routine and urgent visits. Must be competent in using EMR (practice uses eClinicalWorks) Requirements
  • Graduating or graduated from an accredited Physician Assistant Program.
  • Board Certification Responsibilities Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients under the direction of a physician Perform laboratory studies and provide clinical treatment for diseases and injuries Diagnose, interpret, and follow medical records and health information systems Work with patients and their families to provide individualized care tailored to their needs Conduct physical examinations in our high-volume outpatient clinic Follow up with patients on an as-needed basis via phone or email Complete all required documentation efficiently as required by the organization Maintain the highest level of professional ethics as stated in our Code of Conduct document Participate in continuing education sessions to keep abreast of current medical knowledge and learning opportunities Assisting with scheduling follow-up appointments if needed Skills Proven clinical or work experience as a physician assistant or advanced practice nurse.
Knowledge of medical instruments and procedures used in physical exams Ability to perform comprehensive physical examinations; complete laboratory studies; and accurately document findings; following established guidelines for each patient situation Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with patients, physicians, other team members, and administrative staff members Computer literate and familiar with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems Benefits

TRAINING STIPEND
up to 80 hours. Salary $120,000 -150,000 depending on experience
