This role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a dynamic inpatient setting within a 226-bed Level II Trauma Center serving 14 counties across North Central Pennsylvania. In this role, you'll make a meaningful impact managing a broad range of complex medical conditions while working alongside an experienced, collaborative hospital medicine team. Schedule & Work-Life Balance 7-on / 7-off | 14 shifts / month 10-hour shifts Rotating Day/Evenings 6:30 AM - 4:30 PM 1:00 PM - 11:00 PM Blended shift model providing schedule variety Opportunity for telemedicine coverage after orientation Compensation & Incentives Competitive salary based on experience Sign-on bonus available

What You'll Do Provide comprehensive inpatient care for hospitalized patients Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and complex medical conditions Perform admissions, cross-coverage, and patient assessments Collaborate with physicians and subspecialists to ensure coordinated care Utilize telemedicine as part of care delivery following orientation Document care and ensure effective transitions across the care team Knowledge of growth and development principles Ability to provide age-appropriate patient care across the lifespan Ability to assess patient data and deliver care per departmental policies Strong interpersonal, critical thinking, and clinical judgment skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Physical stamina and dexterity required for direct patient care Successful attainment and maintenance of hospital privileges, where applicable.
Licensure, Education, Certifications, and Clearances:
Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) Completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program BSN required; MSN preferred Pennsylvania RN license and CRNP certification National certification and eligibility for licensure and CRNP certification by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing Physician Assistant (PA) Graduation from an ARC‑PA-accredited Physician Assistant program Bachelor's or master's degree preferred Pennsylvania PA license and NCCPA certification Required for All APP Candidates CPR certification required within 30 days of hire Successful completion of Pennsylvania clearances: Act 33 Act 34 Act 73 UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran
