Job Description

Buffalo Medical Group is one of Western New York's largest premier, multispecialty practices, we're always looking for people who share our commitment to quality patient-centered healthcare. We are currently seeking a Full Time and/or Part Time Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the Group in our Same Day Care clinic. Positions are available in our Williamsville and Orchard Park locations.
Schedule:
Full Time
  • 40 hours a week Part Time
  • flexible; will review candidates available hours
  • Clinic is open Monday
  • Friday 8:00am
  • 6:00pm. In the near future, Saturdays will open from 9:00am
  • 1:00pm
  • Whether full time or part time, the position requires some Saturdays and some Holidays.
Job duties include, but are not limited to: Obtains complete medical history and physical data on patients. This includes all hospitalization reports, specialist consults and off site providers correspondence and data. Will participate in worksite safety training programs. Complies with BMG Corporate Compliance Policy and HIPAA regulations. Will participate in worksite safety training programs. Will comply with all Group policies and procedures, including mandatory annual in-services As a team member will work assigned shifts as scheduled and open shifts as necessary at any clinic location necessary to maintain safe staffing levels. Other tasks as assigned/required. Will comply with all Group policies and procedures, including mandatory annual in-services Interprets and integrates data to determine necessary and appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as needed in a cost effective manner. Performs a complete physical exam and records findings. Works independently, (without a physician immediately in attendance), demonstrating sound and appropriate independent decision making. When necessary, will collaborate with PCP and other physicians in managing acute and long-term medical needs of patients. Orders, interprets and evaluates appropriate (without excessive) laboratory and diagnostic procedures, including EKG's. Synthesizes data to determine preliminary diagnosis and therapeutic plan utilizing principles of prevention. Administers medications and injections according to necessity and plan of care. Sutures minor lacerations when indicated and appropriate. Performs Incision and Drainage when indicated and appropriate. Prescribes or recommends drugs or other forms of treatment. Interviews and advises patients regarding health and illness prevention. Recommends community resources to meet patient and family needs. Instructs patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructions. Provides patient education. Triages patient telephone calls and provides consultation. Manages medical and surgical emergencies. Provides monitoring and continuity of care between physician visits. Provide a safe environment for staff and clients. Maintain accurate documentation of client status and care. Participate in health policy activities as needed at the local, state, national and international levels. Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations.
