The successful candidate will provide per diem coverage for newborn nursery services, including newborn rounding, attendance at high-risk deliveries, and management of infants requiring Level II neonatal care. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced provider seeking flexible scheduling while working alongside an established and collaborative pediatric and neonatal team. This position is anticipated to require up to 4-6 on-call shifts per month . Providers will work closely with experienced nursing staff, and hospital teams dedicated to delivering high-quality newborn care.
Minimum Qualifications:
MD/DO from an accredited medical school. Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pediatrics. PALS and NRP certifications. Prior newborn nursery and/or neonatal inpatient experience required Experience with Level II nursery care and high-risk deliveries preferred This role offers: Flexible per diem/on-call scheduling Approximately 4 -6 shifts per month Opportunity to work within an established neonatal and pediatric care team Competitive per diem compensation MaineHealth is a not-for-profit integrated health system whose vision is, "Working together so our communities are the healthiest in America."
