Aug 26, 2026 Job Description Overview We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable High School Physics Teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will inspire students to explore the principles of physics through engaging lessons, hands-on experiments, and real-world applications. This role involves fostering critical thinking, scientific inquiry, and a love for learning in a supportive classroom environment.. Teacher attendance is an essential function of all BWRSD positions. Qualifications Teaching certification in Physics Project Lead the Way (PLTW) certification, or willingness to become certified, in order to teach Engineering coursework (Principles of Engineering) Strong knowledge of Physics principles and scientific inquiry Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to engage and motivate students. Organizational and time management skills. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for teaching and inspiring young minds. Key Responsibilities Develop and deliver engaging physics lessons aligned with state and district standards Teach topics such as mechanics, electricity and magnetism, waves, and modern physics Design and conduct laboratory experiments that reinforce theoretical concepts Assess and evaluate student progress through tests, projects, and assignments Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and abilities Maintain a safe and organized classroom and laboratory environment Integrate technology and interactive tools into instruction Communicate regularly with students, parents, and school staff regarding progress Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events Support extracurricular activities such as science clubs, competitions, or tutoring Collaborate with colleagues to coordinate curriculum, share resources and promote interdisciplinary learning experiences.
