Picker Packer Associate Starting rate:

$16.90 per hour + $0.50/hr shift differential with a progressive pay scale for the first 3 years

Shift:

11:30am-8:00pm Overtime may be requested or required

SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS

Under the general direction of the Warehouse Supervisor, the Picker/Packer Associate is responsible for picking out and packing orders for shipment on a daily basis.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Responsible for accurately pulling product by type and quantity from stock locations directed by the system through a handheld device. Checking the pulled product against what is indicated on the monitor; neatly label any items requiring labels and pack items in the correct boxes to be shipped. Using the correct pallet for the required specifications, stack items for the most solid and durable transport. Verify that the pallet is stable and apply appropriate paperwork to the pallet. Responsible for rotating between various jobs including pulling items to be packed, packing items, loading pallets, and hand wrapping skids. Ship the product through the shipping system and verify all required documents are present. Adjust to changes in the Shipping Department to meet daily requirements. Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

High school diploma or equivalent preferred Required to read and write English, follow verbal instructions and use simple math. Ability to perform but not limited to the following tasks: be familiar with and able to interpret packing slips and pick tickets to perform proper picking function. Must be familiar with proper packaging methods and able to interpret visual aids used to convey specific packaging requirements. Ability to interpret handheld device for proper product picks and quantities Ability to learn bin locations, product familiarization and customer requirements Previous picking experience preferred. Ability to learn how to use the RF (radio frequency) gun Ability to use a pallet jack Detailed and focused Ability to work in a fast paced working environment Flexible and self motivated Applicants may apply online through Indeed or apply in person at Clover Environmental Solutions 315
