Job Title:

Pipefitter / Welder Job Description You will work primarily in mechanical rooms installing new HVAC air handlers and associated piping systems, ensuring high-quality, safe, and reliable installations on healthcare and other commercial projects. Responsibilities Plan the installation and repair of piping systems, including cutting, threading, and bending pipe to specification. Lay out, assemble, install, maintain, and repair a wide variety of commercial piping systems. Install and secure hangers, supports, and brackets to properly support piping systems. Install valves, couplings, and other fittings in accordance with project drawings and specifications. Perform pipe welding and brazing on carbon steel and copper piping systems. Thread pipe and assemble threaded piping systems as required. Interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, and schematics to complete installations accurately. Coordinate work with other trades and follow project schedules and site requirements. Ensure all work complies with safety standards, codes, and company procedures. Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, safe, and organized condition.

Work Environment The role involves both indoor and outdoor work, primarily in mechanical rooms and hospital environments, alongside other trade partners. Standard hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with expectations of full-day shifts. You will use typical pipefitting and welding tools and equipment, including threading tools, welding machines, and brazing equipment. Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times, and you are expected to follow all site safety protocols and procedures while working in a professional construction setting Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Port Richey, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
