Description As a Plant Accountant at our Jackson Center, OH, location, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial operations. You will support key accounting functions while proactively identifying opportunities to improve processes and financial performance. What You'll Do Support the full general ledger process, including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities Record, classify, and post day-to-day financial transactions with accuracy and attention to detail Oversee monthly physical inventory and valuation processes, ensuring alignment with the perpetual inventory system Analyze bills of materials (BOM) to ensure costing accuracy and proper item coding Manage accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), and working capital performance Conduct financial analysis to identify risks and negative impacts to the P&L, and provide actionable recommendations for improvement What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance At least 3 years of general accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Strong understanding of cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations Working knowledge of GAAP Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP As a Plastipak Associate, you receive a benefits package offering the following: Wellness Programs Health Insurance Coverage, including
