Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking an accomplished and results-driven Plant Manager to lead and optimize our manufacturing operations with a strong background in Injection Molding, Thermoforming, and Extrusion manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in automation technologies, lean manufacturing, and operational excellence, with a proven ability to drive productivity, quality, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives across high-volume manufacturing facilities. This leadership role will oversee all plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality, engineering, automation, supply chain coordination, and workforce development. The successful candidate will possess hands-on expertise with automated manufacturing systems, including FANUC automation, Wittmann automation, and Competella automation, along with Six Sigma Black Belt certification and a passion for driving world-class manufacturing performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead all aspects of plant operations including Injection Molding, Thermoforming, Extrusion, assembly, maintenance, quality assurance, and production planning to achieve operational and financial targets. Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to improve OEE, reduce scrap, minimize downtime, and optimize labor utilization. Implement and sustain operational excellence programs focused on productivity, process capability, waste reduction, and cost savings. Oversee automation systems integration, troubleshooting, and optimization involving FANUC robotics, Wittmann robots and auxiliaries, conveyor systems, and Competella automation technologies. Manage production scheduling and inventory control through ERP/MRP systems to ensure on-time delivery and efficient material flow. Lead preventive maintenance and reliability programs for molding machines, thermoforming lines, extrusion equipment, tooling, and automation systems. Collaborate with engineering, quality, supply chain, and maintenance teams to improve manufacturing processes, cycle times, tooling performance, and operational efficiencies. Develop and maintain a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations and promoting proactive safety initiatives throughout the facility. Analyze production metrics, downtime reports, scrap trends, and KPIs to identify opportunities for process optimization and strategic improvements. Supervise, mentor, and develop plant personnel including production supervisors, technicians, maintenance staff, and operators to build a high-performance manufacturing team. Support capital projects, equipment upgrades, new product launches, and facility expansion initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPEREINCE
Proven leadership experience as a Plant Manager, Operations Manager, or Manufacturing Manager within Injection Molding, Thermoforming, and/or Extrusion manufacturing environments. Extensive hands-on experience with automation systems, robotics, and process integration, including FANUC robotics, Wittmann systems, and Competella automation equipment. Six Sigma Black Belt certification with demonstrated success leading continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives. Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Root Cause Analysis, 5S, TPM, and process optimization methodologies. Deep understanding of plastics manufacturing processes, tooling, machine troubleshooting, process controls, and quality systems. Experience using ERP/MRP systems such as SAP for production planning, inventory management, and operational reporting. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot complex manufacturing and automation systems. Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, improve employee engagement, and drive accountability across all levels of the organization. Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Operations Management, or related field preferred; equivalent industry experience will also be considered. Criminal Background check is required This position will be required to travel Internationally(Canada, USA and Europe.) Benefits after 6 months of employment. Bonus potential of up to 20% of annual salary, paid annually. Eligibility will be detailed in employment contract.
Pay:
$120,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
