QUIKRETE
® is one of the largest manufacturers of packaged concrete products in the United States and an innovative leader across the commercial building, home improvement, and DOT industries. We are seeking a driven and experienced Plant Manager to lead operations at our Pedricktown, NJ facility. As Plant Manager, you will have full responsibility for the overall management, direction, and coordination of all plant operations - from production performance and quality control to safety, maintenance, and cost management. You will lead a team that includes production, maintenance, delivery, quality control, and administrative personnel, and will work closely with the sales team to meet customer requirements and business objectives. The ideal candidate leads by example, holds themselves and others accountable, and understands that proactive maintenance is foundational to hitting production targets. Strong organizational skills, a hands-on approach, and the ability to build genuine team cohesion are essential. Key Responsibilities Full P&L ownership and fiduciary responsibility for the plant. Oversee procurement and efficient use of raw materials. Manage production scheduling, output targets, and quality control of finished goods. Direct inventory management to ensure adequate stock levels and minimize waste. Ensure timely delivery of products and maintain high standards of customer service. Manage plant staffing - recruiting, training, scheduling, and performance management. Lead and enforce safety programs, ensuring full regulatory compliance and a safe work environment. Oversee maintenance of buildings, grounds, and equipment to minimize downtime and extend asset life. Qualifications 5+ years of plant or operations management experience; background in building materials, construction products, or related heavy manufacturing strongly preferred. Four-year college degree preferred; equivalent experience will be considered. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to engage meaningfully with maintenance and engineering teams. Proven track record of building, developing, and leading high-performing teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to performance management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable working with customers, peers, and senior leadership alike. Compensation & Benefits
